Listing card: design requirements

When a seller asks Cue to sell something, Cue shows the listing as a card. The seller checks it, fixes anything the AI got wrong, and publishes it, all without leaving the chat. This page lists what the card needs to support. Every mock below is interactive: tap a row to open its sheet.

1. Card anatomy

1Photo band with ↗. The listing's cover photo. ↗ opens the listing on Carousell, for anything the card doesn't cover.
2Summary line. One sentence with what the seller rarely changes: category and delivery.
3Long text. Title and description. Label above, the full value below, wrapping. Never cut off.
4Price. Depends on how many prices could be suggested (see Price below), then what similar items sold for.
5Short values. Condition, size, brand. One line each: label left, value right.
6Terms. What publishing through Cue means for this listing, in one line.
7Publish. The only action. Off until every required field is filled.

2. Field types

Every field is one of four types. Tapping a field opens its own sheet; saving closes it and updates the card.

To edit: A sheet with a multi-line text box and a character count.
Rules: Title is required, up to 255 characters. Description is optional and longer.

To edit: A sheet listing the options, with a check on the current one. Tapping an option saves it. A short set, like sizes, can be chips.

To edit: A search box on top, matching options below. If nothing matches, the seller can use what they typed.
Rules: For any list too long to scroll (brands, models). A missing option must never block the listing.

Price

On the card: Depends on how many prices the AI could suggest: two, one, or none.
To edit: Two: tap a suggestion, or Other price for a custom one. One: tap the row to change it. None: tap to add one.
Rules: S$1 to S$100,000, up to 2 decimals. With no suggestion, the field is empty and required, and there's no “similar sold” line.

3. Field states

Any field can be in one of these states.

Filled: The value, with › to edit. Filled by the AI from the photos and the seller's message.
Missing, required: “Add …” in an alert colour, with ›. Publish stays off until it's filled.
Edited: The new value, shown the same as Filled.
Invalid: Inside the sheet: the field is outlined and a short message says why. Save stays off.
Locked: No ›. The card was published or replaced by a newer one.

4. Card states

Ready: Publish is on once every required field is filled.
Published: Publish turns into a grey “Published”. Cue then confirms the listing is live.
Replaced: The seller typed a change in chat instead. This card greys out and Cue shows a new one with the change.

5. Behaviour

Each saved field is sent to Carousell straight away, so the listing on Carousell always matches the card.
The seller can also make changes by typing in chat. Cue then shows a fresh card and greys out the old one.
Required fields gate Publish. Optional ones, like Description, can stay empty.
There's no Cancel: a seller who doesn't want to publish simply doesn't, or tells Cue in chat.
↗ opens the listing on Carousell for anything the card doesn't cover, like more photos.
After publishing, the card stays in the chat as a record, with nothing left to tap.

6. Long content and the keyboard

Long description: The card grows with its content, but a long description stops at 4 lines with “…”. The full text is one tap away, in its sheet. Everything else shows in full.
Keyboard: Text and price sheets open with the field focused and the keyboard up. The sheet sits on top of the keyboard, so the field and Save are always visible.

7. What Carousell sends for each field

So Cue can draw any category's fields without a change on its side, each field comes with:
